Turkish Students Association @ OSU
Turkish Students Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to represent the Republic of Turkey on the Ohio State University campus.
Through social and cultural activities, TSA attempts to develop an exchange between Turkish students, non-Turkish students and the general community.
TSA membership and activities are open to people of all ages and cultures. Membership can be acquired by contacting any member of the TSA Executive Committee. We invite you to tour our homepage and join our mailing list.

It is with the immense support and generous donations of the TSA members that any of our activities are possible. The TSA Executive Committee would like to thank each and every member for making our hard work worth the effort. If you have not yet become a member of the TSA and would like to do so, please contact a member of the TSA Executive Committee.
It’s that time of the year again, and we are happy to announce that TAACO’s executive committee is organizing a great event for this year’s Turkish Republic Day Ball. We hope that most of you can join us to celebrate this big event. You can find the details about the event below, but before that we would like to get your attention to a couple of important things;
1) Thanks to the sponsor families in TAACO, the admission fee for the event is $35 for TSA-members. ($55 for TAACO members, and $65 for others) However, if you would like to attend, you need to reserve a place by October 20 Sunday at latest. Unfortunately, if you miss the reservation deadline, TAACO will not be able to reserve a spot for you, since the meal order should be placed a couple of days before the event date.
2) To complete your reservation, there are two things we ask you to do by October 20;
a. Paying the admission fee: Here is the contact information of TSA executive-committee.
Call us or e-mail us, so we can meet on campus and take your payment (cash or check).
If you go with the check option, please write the check for “TAACO”.

We have several special guests this year; we invited Turkish General Consul in Chicago Mr. Fatih Yildiz and he is planning to join us with his family. In addition, Ohio Congressman Mr. Steve Stivers accepted our invitation. Also, Mr. Yenal Kucuker and his colleagues from ATAA will try to travel from Washington DC one more time to meet Turkish Americans and students living in Central Ohio.
We hope that most of you can join us to celebrate this big event together with our guests.
IMPORTANT DEADLINE: Please respond by October 21st as TAACO needs us to submit them a Guest List for reserving the room and other arrangments.
We are accepting your reservations through regular mail this year. We are hoping that this will eliminate the waiting line at the door. Here is the information on how to register:
1 – You will find two attached files to this announcement. One is for you to renew/become a TSA member. The other one is your invitation to Republic Day Ball Reception & Dinner. Please print both forms.
2 - Please include your name and your family members’ names on the invitation form.
3 – Circle the dinner option(s) and dessert option(s) for you and your family members on the invitation form.
4 – Complete the TSA membership form for 2011-2012 to become a member. (Please note that you do not have to become a member to attend this event. Also, you do not need to complete membership form if you already did it during Welcome Party or Coffee Social).
5 – For payments, you can go with the one of the options below that is the most convenient for you:
